FIRST APPEARANCE OF NEW ORCHESTRA WILL BE TONIGHT

FRESHMAN CLASS RECEPTION THIS EVENING IN THE HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM

The "Super Six Synchopators," Savanna's newly organized orchestra, will make its first appearance this evening in the high school playing for the freshman reception party. The personnell of the orchestra: Lucille Hammerstein, pianist; Harry Daly, drums; Edgar Harry, trombone; Frank Riddle, alto saxophone; Tom Kindell, tenor saxophone; George Hansen, trumpet.

Frank "Bud" Riddle taught the younger Marv Schreiner of Savanna saxophone and clarinet for 18 months circa 1934-35 until in Bud's words Marv became better than himself. Marv Schreiner organized his Temptating Rhythems in 1936 before his fourthteenth birthday.
